Born in Scotland, and having played golf from the age of five, Alistair Smith is an avid collector of golf memorabilia. Specialising in Irish golf memorabilia, he also has many items from his Scottish homeland as well as examples from all the golf-playing countries worldwide.

Formerly a scratch golfer and still playing off a low handicap as a member of Blainroe Golf Club, Alistair is currently the archivist for Portmarnock Golf Club, the famous Dublin links which hosted many Open golf tournaments.
